The Soloist 2-ASI is Adtec's newest cable targeted product. It decodes MPEG 2 program streams while simultaneously transcoding and outputting an MPEG 2 transport stream. This dual tier distribution provides a way to deliver content to analog and digital tiers concurrently. Additionally, the Soloist 2-ASI supports the emerging digital program insertion model providing the insertion of commercials in a 100% compressed digital realm.

Adtec offers the worlds highest quality and most economical real time encoding solution with its edje-2100. Designed specifically for economical broadcast quality local distribution encoding, the edje-2100 delivers stunning MPEG 2 transport streams and supports both MUSICAM and Dolby Digital (AC-3) audio.

The Edje-3000 Multiplexer and Digital Media Router is a bandwidth management device designed specifically for Digital Television (DTV), Satellite, and Cable systems. Ideal for aggregating MPEG 2 transport streams via DVB-ASI inputs and IP data services, the Edje-3000 offers ASI to ASI routing (DigiCipher ® II to DVB), ASI to IP and IP to ASI routing, IP over MPEG 2 transport (ISO/IEC 13818-6) and encryption (DVB-CSA and AES).

Professional Audio/Visual
The professional market segment includes applications where broadcast quality MPEG 2 encoding and decoding is required to deliver stunning and compelling presentations. High-end presentations are serviced by the Soloist 2 and include frame accurate synchronous cross channel playback and delivery of analog RGB, YUV and uncompressed digital SDI video. Distribution of MPEG 2 files, schedules, and OSD graphics provides a major challenge. Adtec's edje-L offers an integrated QPSK satellite receiver enabling content and schedule distribution via satellite multicasting. Management of the distribution is handled by Adtec's file control multicast protocol (FCMP). FCMP provides sophisticated grouping and advanced forward error correction. It can also be implemented on properly configured IP networks. Removable media (DVD, CD) distribution is facilitated by the edje-DVD. File Transfer Protocol push and intelligent pull modes are automated by Symphony Pro.
