The all-new MediaAdvantagerepresents Vela's next-generation MPEG-2 media server, based on the latest compression and software technologies available.

MediaAdvantage employs Vela's new-technology Argus® MX encoder and CineView® Pro XLe decoder, and is packaged in a compact and versatile 2-RU chassis. An easy-to-use Graphical User Interface designed around Microsoft's .Net architecture and running under Windows® provides access to a comprehensive set of video management features, including time code aware recording, LTC input/output, simultaneous encoding/decoding confidence monitoring, on-screen VGA display of input and output video, playlist playback, and support for Vela's Prism transcoding and Argus Spectrum multi-encoding tools.

For complete flexibility and scalability, a MediaAdvantage station can be remotely accessed and controlled from a client station via an IP network. Network Attached Storage (NAS) is supported for applications requiring large asset storage capacity.
